Do you love birds? Are you concerned about climate or other environmental issues? In conjunction with her current art exhibit, Divergence of Birds, artist and activist Carolyn Monastra will host a two-hour workshop addressing these themes. ​The event will start with a brief overview of her Color Local exhibit along with a discussion about actions we can take to protect endangered species. Then, using recycled materials, participants will make a mini accordion book-in-a-tin featuring climate-threatened birds of Connecticut. All attendees will be given a small print from the "Divergence of Birds" project to take home along with their own mini book. No previous art experience necessary. This workshop is best suited for adults and children ages 10 and up. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring some of your own paper ephemera to use. **The ticket price includes platform fees. Tickets are refundable (less platform fees) up until 48 hours before the workshop. If you need to cancel within less than 48 hours, please consider transferring your ticket to a friend. Just let the organizers know who will be taking your place.
